Winter of discontent

I have been slacking on my blogging for a while. I am comforted to know that anyone actually reads my blog to notice. Thanks Em.:) Seriously, someone in my household has been sick since Dec. 1st. This whole month of January I have gotten cold after cold. I finally went to the doctor and got antibiotics(always a last resort for me) and now I'm feeling much better. I thought I was doing a good job with my Zicam, Airborne, and Zinc lozenges but not this time. Zoe shortly after got sick. Really sick. She had a high fever and wasn't breathing well. She is now on a nebulizer(sp?) Why would I know how to spell that? Anyway, She is breathing better now but is generally unpleasant to be around. I suppose it's because she finally has the energy to complain. Because of our many illnesses I have fallen into a rut of bad parenting. When I'm sick I turn the tv on and let Zoe watch her shows for obvious reasons, I want to rest. When she is sick I turn the tv on so she will rest. According to an article in Time magazine tv is bad for babies brain development and might be the cause of A.D.D. So by trying to make it through the sick winter of my discontent I may be responsible for giving my child A.D.D. Can it be said that illness causes A.D.D.? If all weren't sick we wouldn't have watched so much tv in the first place. Another excuse I have for not blogging is my lack of good photos to add to the blog. I am coveting big time having a fancy camera. I have one but it is 35mm. The technology just wasn't around when I splurged loads of money on things I really don't need. My next motivation for saving is for a car, not to mention a house now that the market is finally going down.

Just wait until the second kid comes along. Aden watched TV 24/7 for the first month of Ty's life! It's call survival.

I was so excited to open up your blog and see a brand spankin' new post!! Yeah! I hadn't given up on you. I knew you would come through for me and I would once again get to hear about my favorite Cali friend. Although I'm sorry to hear you've been sick. I thought that was one of the benefits of living in California? Here in Utah (surrounded by snow), it's completely normal to be sick ALL WINTER LONG!! Anywho, glad to have you back :)

Yeah! New post. I need to do it too, I've just been lazy, sick, and I think a little burnt out after the holidays. I think everyone else has been too- now that it's February, here's to a more productive month!

We're all going to have ADD children - after me being on bedrest for 2 months, Rory can now tell you the daily line-up on the Noggin channel. Sad. Hope you're all better!
