Well, I have been a mother of 2 for 2 weeks now and so far so good. Jamin has had paternity leave this whole time so today is my first day on my own. I haven't cried yet so I consider it a success but it is only noon. Adjusting to a second child is nothing like the first. I feel for Zoe though. I think her world has been shaken a bit. She acted out a lot the first couple of days Jude was home but seems to be doing better now. She still likes to poke him in the face and tug on his ears so leaving them alone for a second in the same room is not wise at this point(until he can defend himself anyway).

Your boy is so beautiful. And even though he kind of resembles Winston Churchhill now, he'll outgrow that and you'll be glad you went with something cool, like Jude.
You can never leave toddlers alone with small babies. Eye poking is just what they do at that stage. You have to watch them with other peoples babies too. I'm just about past having to protect my smallest one, but for the first couple months when I shower, I lock the bedroom door with the baby inside because only a locked door makes me feel comfortable enough to take my eyes off them.

congrats! I'm glad to hear that your labor was easier with the second ( I told you its better). He is so beautiful, and so cute and chunky for such a new little baby.
He is so cute! Already 2 weeks old--crazy! Just let all of the house work go (like I do) and you will find lots of time for other things! :)
Ok, you probably won't find lots of time with 2 little ones in the house, but not caring about the housework sure takes a lot of pressure off. . . I have found.

P.S. You may have guessed that I was kidding (somewhat) about the housework comments. Ok, no I wasn't, but I guess what I'm saying is don't tell Jason because he will rub that in my face big time :)
2 weeks already! Crazy! He is a beauty! I need to come and hold him again...before he isn't a newborn anymore! Glad you are doing well...and glad Zoe is doing a bit better!
I love the middle picture. Jude is saying "Hey ladies." I think the second kid just learns to be tough. Ty takes a lot from Aden . . . though has had one smashed thumb in the door and two dislocated elbows . . . Thank God for insurance!
Marcus liked to head butt Maddox when he first came home from the hospital, but now he loves him! Congratulations! Your kids are beautiful!!!
